Jacket for winter

My wife is originally from California and loves the weather there. She has lived here for quite some time, but is still not used to the cold winters. I don't blame her. This winter we're looking into  north face women s jackets because the quality is supposed to be great and I know it's something that would help keep her warm. OUr new home is actually somewhere a bit warmer, but I still think it's something she will appreciate. We're looking for warmth, as well as a neutral color that she'll be able to wear with anything.

Job Position

I really love the job I have now, but more imporantly the people I work with. I am really excited for my new position to start next month, but also sad that I will be leaving such a great group of people! They are so fun to work with, and as many people know coworkers are what really make a job fun or not fun. I hope I am just as happy where I'm headed next month, and will miss the job I have now. Excited for what's to come though.

New House

Well I accepted a new position with my current employer. I'm very excited not only for the new job, but also the fact that my wife and I are going to be moving and have found the home of our dreams. We recently bought it and sold ours...so in about a month we will be moved and starting a new chapter of our lives. I can't wait! Part of the move means getting a bigger place and filling up a pretty empty house. I'm looking forward to buying things like couches, appliances and of course a tv mount so I can hang my television over our new fireplace. All these little things just get me even more excited for what's to come.

Winter or Spring?

It's starting to feel more like spring around here and it's only January! YAY! Usually winter is pretty brutal here in the midwest, so temps in the 50's has been really nice. The snow is starting to melt and i"m hoping that it will continue to. I'm not one for winter, in fact, i would much rather live somewhere like California where the temps are a little warmer. I'm hoping this is a sign that winter will be short.

Playing the Guitar

Since I was young I have always enjoyed instruments and music. Those who know me, know that it was a big part of my childhood. I started out with the piano, and found that it was fun, but just not for me. I tried different things like drums and saxophones, but again...not for me. Then I taught myself how to play the guitar. Now this was right up my alley! I absolutely loved it! I don't have a lot of time to play at this point in my life, but I do still own my guitar and enjoy playing for fun once in a while. My wife is trying to encourage me to look at Benedetto Guitars at Musicians friend. I may just take her up on that offer, as I've heard they are great guitars and I'd love to get back into playing again.

Winter

The weather outside has been bitter cold. ON Thanksgiving when our families were here the temps were warm and pleasant. The very next day they turned cold and miserable. I guess that's Iowa weather for you? No fun though, especially when you have to go out in it every day. Winter isn't even here yet and I'm already looking forward to summer. Is that bad?! :)

Christmas Cards

This is our first Christmas as a married couple. I'm really looking forward to the holidays this year, especially all the little things like decorating and sending out Christmas cards. I can't wait! We've already made up our cards and are just waiting to get them printed. In the mean time I need to find blank envelopes. In searching the internet I've come across cheap envelope printing

which is fantastic. That way I can get the envelopes and the printing on them for an affordable price. Perfect since we have a lot to send out.

Being a husband

Renee and I are chilling tonight and watching Fireproof. My parents gave us the dvd, along with the movie Courageous. Both are fantastic movies, especially for people who are married and/or parents. It's very encouraging to see these stories and makes me want to be the best husband and someday dad I can be. I have yet to see the other movies from this producer, but hope to soon. If they are as good as these two, I'm sure we'll love them just as much!
