House for next year

It's about that time to make a desicion on where I'm going to live next year...and man is it difficult! A friend and I had been looking at apartments and were leaning toward that direction as opposed to a house, but we needed a couple other girls to join us to fill the rooms. Well, we kind of joined up with two other girls who are looking for a place too, but they're leaning more towards a house. So, we looked at a house last week and it was pretty nice...but I wasnt too impressed and still liked the apartment better. Then, I looked at some more houses on Sunday, and found a couple that were really nice and a little less money. So, I thought, well if we have to get a house and not an apartment then I guess I would be happy with one of the ones I looked at one Sunday. Today the four of us are going together to look at them...so well see what we come up with! I just want something that is going to be clean and homey and not far from campus. Hopefully we can all come to a decision together that everyone will be pleased with!

Spring is a time of the year that we all look forward to, especially those of us who are not lucky enough to live in Florida or California during the dreaded northern state's winter. There are many things to look forward to in the spring. Nice weather, my girlfriend and her cute little spring-time outfits, and of course the Chicago Cubs spring training! I live only about 5 hours from Chicago and would absolutely love to attend their spring training events! Unfortunately, I have always been under the impression that Spring Training tickets to the Chicago Cubs would be hard to come by. I was so wrong! HDMI

I am as you may know, an avid PS3 user. I have a 19" HDTV with up to 1080i! It is great for PS3! Unfortunately it doesn't have support for the 1080p option. The 1080p option is supposed to be the elite HD format. My TV doesn't support HDMI so I can't really use that either:( But no matter. I am here to tell any PS3ers out there that 1080i looks almost identical. Don't waste your money!

Make even more money blogging

Just a few helpful tips for all of you new bloggers out there (and those of you who just need to jump start your earnings potential.)

Many bloggers just like you and I, often make mistakes on blogging for cash. Believe me, when I first started blogging, I wasn't making nearly what I had potential to be making. One thing that I am often asked is, "What should I blog about?" and this is a terrific question. Frankly, the answer to this question is quite simple. Blog about what you want. You can simply blog about things that interest you. On Sankey Blog, I write about hundreds of topics that are the most popular and in-demand topics on the web (this means lots of unique visitors.) This is one way to do it. Another way would be to start a 'niche' blog. This would be a blog about one topic (and not straying too far from that topic.) This would cause the same visitors to want to come back for further news on that topic. And example of a Niche blog would be my PS3 Blog.
Next, when you are a new blogger and only get 10-100 readers per day, don't expect to rake in too much cash from AdSense. This is just a fact, only a small percentage of your readers will click on those ads and if you have a small amount of traffic, obviously you wont be rich.

The best thing you can do to dramatically increase your AdSense earnings is to start numerous blogs about whatever you think will be a popular topic (check out the keyword tool on Overture.com.) Obviously, starting more blogs, even if none are REALLY popular means that those few clicks you were getting on ads is now multiplied by the number of blogs that you own.

Another very important factor in being profitable is to gain as much free traffic as possible. The best way to do this is to Digg all your posts and bookmark them on Del.Icio.Us and Technorati. This will gain you tons of exposure. Also, join a site like MyBlogLog and you will see your traffic ratings go sailing up.

Google Docs and Spreadsheets

Google Docs and Spreadsheets is awesome! If you have Microsoft Office, don't bother updating it again. All you need is Google Docs! They have a fully functional spreadsheet and word processing program that you can save and open and import and export all the spreadsheets and documents you could ever want, and it is free! It really is amazing how similar to the expensive Microsoft software it is, yet it is free, hmm.... Fishy... Well be sure to check out Google's excellent services!

Wirefly National Marathon

Are you a hobby-jogger? Do you run for sport? How about running for exercise (maybe even hate doing it, but love the idea of it?) I am sure if you fall into any of these categories, you probably know that there are many different types of races out there. Some are interesting, and some, not so much. Personally, I don’t like the races that are all about “who’s the best and who’s the worst?” I enjoy the races that are purely for the love of running and the running of a race for a good purpose. Such ‘good purposes are things like running for charity or fund-raising.

I personally have several family friends that are big into participating in marathons, and just love it. There are several very reputable marathons being run in the US. One of note is The Wirefly National Marathon and it greatly benefits DC charities. This marathon in particular is a very important one due to the fact that it helps to support such great causes such as the YMCA. The marathon will be going down on March 24th, and I strongly suggest that you be there to support this great cause. If you are not able to be there in person, at least keep up with the latest news on the marathon front at the website. At NationalMarathon.com, you can get the latest race maps as well as get information on all of the great organizations involved with the marathon and who help to make this event possible.

So, check into this race, follow it, promote it, and enjoy it! All things in relation to the race including maps and volunteer information (which would be a great way for anyone to get involved with this incredible event) can be found at NationalMarathon.com. Remember that all support helps to keep this event happening!

GRAW 2 official trailer released

"With Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2's launch nearly banging at our doors, Ubisoft has released another treat. The GRAW 2's launch trailer hits just a few days before the release.

Of course, PS3 and PC fans of the Tom Clancy franchise would have to wait a little bit longer. But hey, it's all worth it. In the launch trailer, we see the team getting orders to do recon on the Mexican insurgence near the US border. As with the other Ghost Recon titles, GRAW 2 has the insane action with all the explosions and gunfight. We really can't expect them not to engage when they're being shot at, can we?

Are you ready? GRAW 2 is about to hit the shelves and it's bound to hit the ground running. We'll shut up now, so you can watch the launch trailer. Enjoy!"

Another "paid to post" service

I was searching the web for all the latest news on any and all ways to make money from blogging and I found a real gem for all of you!

The company is called Blogitive. They are a similar system to the others, such as PayPerPost and Blogsvertise. I am quite excited to learn more about them in the next few days (I just submitted one of my blogs and signed up today.) They seem to be a very professional and user-friendly service.

Blogitive works very similar to the others in the way that they offer opportunities and you opt to accept them and start getting paid for each one. The posts that you write for them are not to be artificial hype about the given advertiser, but yet a truthful and simple post to just get that particular advertiser's name out and about. From what I have read, they offer a very competitive pay for each post.
