New Furniture

I was fortunate enough to be able to afford some really great living room furniture recently. With this new job and my birthday falling at the same time, I had some extra money and was able to swing it. Now, I am looking at getting some new things for my bedroom. I am hoping to find a new bed, and even some new bedding if possible. We'll see what's all out there. I don't want to rush into anything, as I'm really not in a hurry. We'll just see what I come across and if there's anything that catches my eye as I browse the web and the stores that I go into.

What to eat?!

Hmm...what to have for supper. I've been better about figuring out what to make for myself...but tonight I'm just not sure. I haven't been eating out much lately, but think I may tonight. I just can't think of anything that I have in my cupboards that I'd like to eat tonight. Maybe Renee would like to run with me to the Texas Roadhouse before American Idol starts...I'll have to give her a call and see. Then the rest of the night will be spent watching television and relaxing.

Lately I've been considering adding my phone number to the National No Call Registry. I think that this would definitely help me stop all of the annoying calls that I receive on a daily basis from telemarketers. It's Tuesday...

Tuesdays are one of my favorite nights of the week as far as television shows are concerned, because that means it's the night of American Idol. I really enjoy watching each of the contestants compete for the title of American Idol each week, and it's especially entertaining now that we're down to only five people left! Personally, I think Brooke and Jason will be the next ones to go...but with all of America voting...you just never know. We'll have to wait until tomorrow night to find out.

Wine of The Month Club

I was talking with my friend the other day and he was telling me that he just got involved in some sort of a wine of the month club. I guess it sounds pretty cool if you're the type of person who enjoys wine. I am not a drinker, but I know that there are people who enjoy a glass every now and then. If that's something you enjoy, a wine of the month club might be something to look into. I think he gets to test different wines each month. He seems to really enjoy it.

Thundstorms

Last night I think we had our first official thunderstorm of the season. It began last night, and went through until this morning. The thunder was pretty loud, and it really rained a lot!! My sister said it was doing the same thing where they live. They were hoping that it wouldn't wake up their daughter, as she was fast asleep before it began. Thankfully she slept through the night just fine and it didn't bother her at all. Good thing they have pretty soundproof walls...otherwise she probably would have been up all night.

Nice Weather Again...we're on a roll!

Wow, today is another beautiful day out there! I think this is the warmest it's been yet. I'm pretty sure that it hit 80 degrees, which is great where I live!! I watched the weather channel, and it does look like there could be some rain in our forecast, but fortunately it won't last long. I don't even mind the rain, as long as these warm temps hang around. The bummer is when it gets cold and rains...that's no fun!

Projects at Home

My sister is a stay at home mom. She said that while she is at home she likes watching the channel that has all of the "home shows" on it. It makes her want to do some things to her own home. It's given her some decorating ideas. One of the first things she'd like to do is go looking at new bedding sets. She'd like to find something that is a little more fancy and just simple. She'd also like to do some work in her basement as well. I'm happy for her that she's able to do stuff like that.

Loving my job!

People might think I'm weird, but I have always enjoyed anything and everything to do with electronics. Even when I was young, I remember trying to fix my parent's old computer. I enjoy working with that sort of thing, and now have a job where I get to do that a lot! It's so nice to be in a field that I enjoy. Working with things like technology is wonderful!!! I can't imagine doing anything else. It's nice to wake up in the morning and enjoy going to work. It would not make my job very enjoyable if I did not like what I do.

Lately I've been reading a lot about natural remedies for all sorts of things. It just seems like nowadays we're so quick to grab the first thing on the shelf for anything we might need. I was reading that they now even have a natural acne treatment. This caught my attention, because I have friends who used to use acne treatments a lot. Some of them can be very harsh on your skin, and probably not the best for it. The natural acne treatments may be safer and better for your skin. I may have to tell them the information I found...pretty interesting!

Blogging Troubles

I am still a bit frustrated today. I have been up late the past couple of nights, trying to figure out this whole blog mess. Basically one of the servers is down for a blog of mine and it's taking forever to get fixed. I depend on this blog to be up and running at all times, so when it's not it is quite irritating. I think I have the problem under control now...but they still need to get it back up and running. This is ridiculous!

I am not one who has ever really gotten into the whole "social networking thing". However, as time goes on and I'm out of school longer...I think it would be fun to keep in touch with old friends. Nice Weather

Today is another beautiful day. The past couple of days have just been gorgeous. I've been waiting for weather like this for months...and now it's finally here. I think it's in the mid 60's today, which is great for this time of year. Hopefully the temps will continue to warm up so I can get to spending some time outdoors. I can't wait until it's nice enough to start exercising outside and golfing. Yeah!!!

Buying a Home

I've talked about this in the past, but it's been on my mind a lot lately. I am thinking that buying a new home may be a choice for me, and the best oner at that. Right now I rent, and although it's nice, I think I'd really like to feel like I'm putting my money into something. I'm pretty sure that in the near future I will looking for different mortgage lenders in my area and see who can give me the best deal. I have seen some homes that pop out at me, but I'll also have to find a real estate agent who can help me out as well.

Make Extra Money

Do you like making extra money? Do you like blogging? If you answered yes to both of these things...blogging for money is exactly what you can do on the side!! It's not a "get rich quick thing" but you definitely can make some very good money doing it!! I know I have. It was something I even did as a part time job while I was in school. I made just enough money to have a descent income while attending school. It was great!!

Tired of Winter!!!!

I'm so jealous...my parents are off to Texas today...and I'm stuck here in the bitter cold!! It's mid April already and it's still sleeting outside. Will it ever feel like Spring? I'm hoping it will soon. I'm SO tired of this winter weather. This is one of the longest winters we've ever had i think. I don't mind a little cold weather, but after 5 months of it...that's enough for me. I'm ready for the warm weather that we had last weekend. That was SO nice!!

Gross Weather

Waking up this morning, I was hoping that I would find the sun shining brightly and warm temps. However, this was not the case...not even close. I woke up to the sound of rain/snow...or in other words...SLEET on my windows!! This did not start my day off well. When the weather is like this...it's not only cold and yucky out...it also causes me to have to leave that much earlier for work because it takes longer to get there if the roads are slick. Hopefully it will warm up and turn to rain.

Wednesday!

It's already Wednesday...can you believe it. I don't know if it's my new job and the fact that it has me so busy, or what...but this week is just flying by. Before I know it, it will be Friday again! Wow!!! That's alright though. With such a busy week I always look forward to my weekends. Life Insurance

I haven't really ever thought much about life insurance until I began this new job. My company offers different options for life insurance so it has really got me thinking. I'm not sure if I'm going to do anything with it now, or maybe I'll just wait until I'm married and actually have more of a reason to need something like this. I have all the paperwork they gave me, so either way...I'll look through it and read everything very carefully! You never know...maybe I'll decide that it's too good to pass up right now.

Bathroom Remodel

I haven't had much time to catch up with my family members, so last night I made sure that I called my parents and my sister to catch up with each of them. While I was talking to both my mom and my sister, I found out that each are planning on doing some major work in one of their bathrooms. It's funny that they both were talking about this...but it was fun to hear their ideas. They both want new bathroom vanities, new showers, and just new decor for each room. I think it will be fun to see them all done....should be very nice!

New Job

Now that I have been in my new job for almost a week...I can see that I am really going to be able to enjoy it!! It's everything that I hoped it would be and more. I have a lot more responsibility than I used to....but I am really enjoying moving up within the company and learning new things. The other day I even got to drive a tractor...that was a first for me and it was great!! I can't wait to see everything else that this job has in store for me!

I never used to be aware of all that a mom, both stay at home and working, entails until my sister had a baby recently. She stays home with her little girl and talks a lot about that and all that she does each day. I know that with mom's who work and those that stay home, they're very, very busy a lot of the time. There's not much time to get out of the house to buy the things needed. Anything that can make their lives easier is much appreciated and very well received!! I know my sister buys things online as much as she can because she doesn't have a lot of time to get out of the house during the day. Nicer Weather

I'm happy that today is much nicer outside. I think it actually got back into the 40's again. According to the weatherman...the weather is supposed to get nicer and nicer as the weekend approaches. That's great news for me! My family is coming down to visit this weekend for my birthday...so I definitely want the weather to be nice so that they can make it down without any delays.:)
