As I sat at my desk the other day working on my computer I realized how badly I need new eyeglasses! My eyes strain to see the screen and they get so tired and sore by the end of the day. It's very frustrating...especially when I end up going home many days with headaches caused by a prescription that is far too old. So why don't I just go and get this fixed? This past weekend I was able to go home and spend time with my wonderful family! I had fun spending time with my parents as well as my sister and her family. I got to see my niece for a little while and boy has she grown! I would say she'll be walking anytime now!! She's so active and is saying and doing so many new things now too! It's fun to see babies as they change and grow, isn't it?!?! I just love being an uncle!

I was talking with my sister this weekend about diet pills. Neither of us have used alli diet pills, but know people who have or those who are considering it. This weekend while I was back at my parents, Mylie and Zoe seemed to get along a lot better. Usually, as dogs and cats usually do, they typically fight and hiss at each other. However...this time they really didn't mind each other. They didn't want to play, but they weren't super mean to each other which is a move in the right direction. I'm glad for this...I hope Christmas time will go well too.

Wow! What a great day we had yesterday! Thanksgiving was wonderful!! We had lots of great food and we were able to see lots of family too. I love weekends like this. I have to go to work on monday, but to have a long weekend like this is very much appreciated. I think I'll go home tomorrow, just so I can get unpacked and enjoy my time with Mylie some!

Although I'm a little bummed to be leaving LA and the warm weather, I am excited to get back home and see my kitty, Mylie. I have been so busy lately! I recently accepted a promotion in the job I'm working at....and have been busy creating a new website for them. It's not really hard...but definitely takes some time! Well...today is my last day here in LA and thankfully I have the day off. I get to enjoy this city one more day before I head back to the cold state of Iowa! I'm looking forward to my relaxing day. I finally got my car back. A couple of weeks ago, when I was home for my neices 1st birthday party, my car wouldn't start. My dad and my brother-in-law both tried to help me get it started. None of us could get it to started, so I had to drive home the old Grand Am, leaving my car for the first time. I had to get it into the dealership and get it looked at. Luckily it was only flooded and they were able to get it running right away. Thank goodness.

I am so excited, tomorrow I leave for California. One of perks of my job at John Deere. This will be my second trip there in only a couple of months, two weeks ago I went to Chicago. All of these trips are to help me gain experience with my job. Cali here I come!

Thankfully my car is fixed and it wasn't anything too big. I had flooded the engine or something which still cost a lot of money, but it definitely could have been worse! Whenever I'm around family I get ideas of what they might want or need for Christmas. While at my sister's this weekend she was saying how a new diaper bag would be great. I did some looking and Ju Ju Be has some really great ones....I think she'd just love them. I'm thinking of getting her a couple....as she would like different ones for different places that she goes. It's something that she'll get a lot of use out of so I think it would be a great gift idea!

It's been a great weekend visiting my sister and her family....but I have to say something happened today that really bummed me out. :( I went out to move my car this morning and it would not start! It was like it had run out of gas or something. I went out and got some gas, put it in and still nothing. We're not really sure what is the deal. I'm going to have to have it looked at on Monday...so that means driving my sister's Grand Am for a while. Oh well...what can you do.
