Dream Vacation

Living here in the midwest I often want to vacation somewhere warm. However, I have friends who live in places like Florida and California who dream of vacationing somewhere cold. A ski vacationski vacations would be their dream come true! Isn't it funny how dream vacations are somewhat dependent on where you live. In my mind skiing would not be any sort of a vacation...but for some I'm sure it's a lot of fun. What is your dream vacation??

Colon Cleanse

What do you think about colon cleanse products? I have heard a lot of good reviews on them, but don't know what to think. I have a feeling that many of the colon cleanse reviews are honest opinions of those who actually have used it, so I assume it is a good product, but just have never used it myself to know. It's kind of a random question, but after seeing an ad for it, I was just curious what the consensus is on it. I don't even know much about it other than what it does. I have no clue where it is sold or anything. Any information anyone has is much appreciated.

On My Own

I have to say that all the way through college I was pretty naive to the costs of living on my own. My parents helped out a lot, so between that and student loans I didn't have much responsibility. That obviously all changed once I graduated and got a place of my own. I'm especially surprised at how much insurance prices are! My auto insurance is just outrageous...as well as health insurance. I know these are things you need...but still! WOW! I hope at some point the cost of these things go down a little bit. They really eat up the paycheck.

Horse Riding

I have always thought it would be fun to get into horse riding. Some may be surprised to know that that know me, as I dont' seem like a "horse riding" kind of guy. However, it's something I always thought would be cool and at some point I might actually pursue it. I was looking into it for fun the other day and came across some great equestrian apparel. I'm not sure when I'll start, but want to make it a point to try at some point. It would be a great hobby and something my friends and I could do together. Who knows...maybe my family will even get into it?!

Old and New

I was recently looking through a Christmas Ad for one of the local stores here, and saw the neatest device. What it does is takes your old film slides from the old school cameras and converts them into prints on your computer. Now it doesn't matter if you haven't always had a digital camera...there's a device that can help you make the transition from your old pictures to today's technology. I thought it was really neat. I love digital cameras, but there are definitely things I miss about the old kind of cameras as well.

I'm so glad tomorrow is Thursday. Although this has been a short week for me...it has drug on to no end. I am really happy that the weekend is almost here and look forward to a short week next week. My sister is having a baby next week..so between that and Thanksgiving, I will get a little break. I'm so looking forward to it. Oh, and of course meeting my new little niece or nephew! Can't wait for that either! :) If I'm not the best about blogging, it's because I'm enjoying a much needed break from the stresses of life. I'll be back soon!

Christmas Decorations

Can you believe it's already that time of year when you walk into stores and see Christmas decorations? I can't believe how fast this last year went! The other day I walked into Walmart and saw Christmas trees, christmas cards...pretty much everything holiday related. It seems that we have pretty much skipped THanksgiving and skipped right to Christmas. I'm not complaining...as I love that time of year, but I just can't believe how fast the time has gone.
