It seems like I hear a lot more instances where young children are getting asthma. This was not something that you heard much about when I was younger. In browsing the web, I found many different articles which are saying that giving antibiotics to young children may actually increase the child's chances of getting asthma. It will be interesting to see if there are anymore studies done on this, to see if, in fact it is the antibiotics that are increasing the risk of asthma in children today. If they could figure this out, it would be a huge thing because right now there are so many children who have asthma and it actually causes them to miss school....millions of days of school actually are missed across the country. Something very interesting to think about.
