Do you know someone with Alzheimer's? If so, the you know what a terrible disease it is. My grandma has this disease, and it's so sad to see what was once an energetic, fun and loving person change into someone who doesn't know what is going on or who we are. She's missed out on the last 10 years of her life and it's just so sad. I'm sure many of you feel the same way if you know someone with Alzheimer's. That's why it's so important that we do something to help. The
Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the largest even to raise awareness for Alzheimer's as well as raise funds to help us find a cure for it. It's held annually across the US. So you might be asking, so how can I help?! Well, they are in desperate need of team captains. A team captain is a very important part of the memory walk because the
team captain gets a team together to fight this cause. It seems that without them the memory walk would not be nearly as successful as it has been. For me it's important that we all work together to fight this disease, and that's why I think it's so important for us to consider becoming a part and volunteering as a team captain.
